Why Run for A Safe Haven Foundation?

Every time you wake up to go for a run, you’ll be reminded that someone slept outside last night. Every time you tie your shoes, you’ll think of someone who doesn’t have shoes. And every time you run that mile you thought you couldn’t, you’ll know you have the strength and willpower to do anything you put your mind to. Every step you take towards the finish line, you’re helping others take steps to self-sufficiency.

A Safe Haven Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to restore hope and opportunity to individuals in crisis by providing treatment, housing, support services, and career pathways. Hannah, 2022 and 2024

“Running for A Safe Haven is the best motivator for running 26 miles!”

James, 2023 and 2024

“Homelessness is not like the section 8 housing story that everyone thinks about; it is much bigger and deeper than that. With a decade of experience in the affordable housing industry, I understand the vital and challenging role of organizations like A Safe Haven. Because of that, I wanted to run and raise money for something important to me.”

Natalie, 2024

“I greatly appreciate the opportunity to raise money for A Safe Haven Foundation, a charity close to my heart despite being on the other side of the world from where I live in Australia!”
